Automated email messages need an explanation

  • After a few emails, here’s my last message to your support person:

Thank you for the explanation. Please be patient with my lack of understanding of routers, scripts, firewalls, etc. My role is to serve the public and to be able to provide information when issues arise.

With that as my priority, can I suggest that you provide an explanation in the automated message for non-computer people like me who receive the messages? Saying “Last life” means nothing to me.

To use your words from above, a helpful message would say:

“HotSpot has detected an issue with your internet connection or a firewall could be blocking it. We can not detect the source of the problem, but this message is meant to alert you by email that the HotSpot may not be working,”

Thank you for listening to this problem from my perspective.

    Hello Ted,

    Thank you for your feedback.
We are taking your valuable opinion seriously, so we will probably modify our message.
