location is UP, but not sending life signals

    Hello support,

    We have only one location and we use free wifi service and last month (March 2015) we had unusually more than 500 connections which suspended our account since we went over the 500 connections.
    Today is 4/1/15 and the count should have been reset but the wifi is not working still and shows
    ” UP, but not sending life signals Last activity: 2015-03-30 14:35:07″, can you unsuspend our subscription. We have rebooted the wifi router and still not working.

    Hello,

    Up but not sending life signal means that our servers cannot see your router. ‘this does not prohibit operation of the hotspot.

    The router sends a signal to our server, but this traffic can be blocked by a firewall in your
    network, or the SPI firewall feature on the router. Turning it off can resolve the problem. In DDWRT this is under Security/Firewall and check Disable beside SPI Firewall. Be sure to click “Save Settings” at the bottom of the page for this to stick.

    However if you have run out of sessions then your hotspot will not be functional until the new monthly quota starts. By upgrading you get 3,000 sessions per month along with the customization options and the usage logs.

    Hi Marko,

    Our wifi router is ok and nothing changed but like you mentioned last month we run out of 500 sessions, see attached, and why didnt the new monthly quota automatically reset back to 0 since its a new month, April, already?

    We dont want to upgrade to 3000 sessions but want to keep the same subscription.
