i added a 2nd location but it is not working
I have a linksys e1000 router using firmware DD-WRT V24 SP2
Is this the correct firmware
Hello,
The E series routers are a bit picky about the DDwrt builds. In my experience build 16214 has worked for the E1000. You can download it from DD-wrt.com Click router database, other downloads and follow this directory path: > others > eko > BrainSlayer-V24-preSP2 > 2011 > 02-17-11-r16214 > Broadcom_K26
You can use a file that is labeled big, mega, std, or mini hotspot.
If you already have a DD-wrt image on the router, then you can upgrade directly to this build. (otherwise use the “Special file for initial flashing” first)
Once the router is upgraded, resume the regular configuration method from step 3 of this guide: http://www.hotspotsy…ide_dd-wrt.html
Regards,
Marko
ive done that and its not working I have internet coming from 2 isp using a rv042 then it goes to the e1000 but it is not showing has being seen
First I need to know if the hotspot is running on the router? If it isn’t then your router won’t show up in the control center.
If it is working, but the router is showing down in the control center, that means our servers cannot see your router. Our servers send a life signal to detect the status of your router. This traffic can be blocked by a firewall in your network, or the SPI firewall feature on the router. Turning it off can resolve the problem. In DDWRT this is under Security/Firewall and check Disable beside SPI Firewall. Be sure to click “Save Settings” at the bottom of the page for this to stick.
