Problems Network Configuration

  • good morning

I have some trouble configuring my router dir-300 with modified firmware (dd-wrt v.24) as a wifi hotspot for my bar

The existing network is configured with static ip and then all the guides I’ve consulted with the rationale behind network in dhcp

I hope someone more practical configuration of networks can help

    thanks

    Hello,

you can easily set a static IP instead of DHCP under Setup > Basic Setup in dd-wrt config.

If only it were that simple

those who connect with dynamic ip can not connect to the internet

I have two ADSL connections and several computers connected to a switch.

everyone has a static ip and each is set a default gateway

I wanted to set a subnet with dynamic ip hotspot for setting the dir-300 with a default gateway but can not

Hotspot users are handled by chillispot, which is a wireless LAN controller. This process runs on the router and will hand out dynamic ip addresses. These clients will receive an ip address on the 192.168.182.0 network by default but this can be changed, altough you then have to change the login url in the control center also. The default gateway info will be propagated by dhcp, and this can also be set in the router to point to a specific ip address, under basic settings / network setup / gateway.
