Hi,

I recently buy a CPE (they said that it is an antenna, but in fact it is a “kind of antenna” in my own point of view), this CPE is wired (by an ethernet cable) to my main access point running Hotspotsystem basic plus. Now, the local ip adress of my hotspot ap is 192.168.1.1/255.255.0.0. I use my CPE as a wifi bridge (point to point) with ap mode and the link made with my hotspot ap is by mac adress (in fact the mac adress of my hotspot ap is used to make the connection between the two device and it is written in my CPE config).

It’s not easy to explain in english, i speak french, but i’ll do the best the best that i can. The ip adress used by the CPE is 192.168.1.254 and it is on the same subnet 255.255.0.0 of my hotspot ap, Finallly i gave the SSID : HotspotAntenna to my CPE. It seems to run fine, i can connect to the SSID of my antenna (or cpe) and everything going fine, the main page of hotspotsystem shows when the connection is made.

But i wonder why i can’t make a repeater connection with my CPE and my hotspot router. I saw that the local ip adress used by hotspotsystem on my device is 192.168.182.x (where x is a dynamically number between 2 and 254). I use DD-WRT on my Hotspot router and my CPE have his own firmware that i didn’t changed, that’s a special device so …

Finally after all these lines written, if i wanna made my CPE a repeater, do i need to have a 192.168.182.x /24 adress to make it work ? And is there anything else i can made in this particular situation. Whenever the device is, i want to know what are the basic setting to have a repeater of my ap router who run hotspotsystem.
