Wds Tp Link Wr1043Nd Hotspot Problem

  • Dear hotspot system,

Recently I made a help desk topic about the same problem.

Back then my setup was satisfactory, I could connect to my second router and I was overjoyed.

However when I turned both routers off and the very next day I booted both routers up to show to my superiors and it didn't work as intended. Then I tried to use the setup command again, however it didn't fix my problem and then my last resort was resetting the routers to default configuration and tried again. I started with the wireless setup and then continued to the WDS settings. I succesfully managed to link them together and then I used the setup up command on both routers and on the second router (WDS) i put the second router in chain and then I tried again. However I can't replicate my succes from the other day. Could someone please explain me what to do next?

There were some solutions about using the google dns however were should I put that DNS IP? In the control center I can see my WDS router but it gives an odd status report.

I hope I have informed you enough information about my problem, I hope someone can help me soon.

    kind regards from the Netherlands

    Hello,

WDS repeating means, that you link (and bridge) the routers LAN side. So do not try to setup 2 instances of hotspots. You can run the hotspot on the main router, and additionally you can setup the WDS link between the two. Please follow our WDS guide on the link we provide and you will succeed.

Get back to us, if you had further issues.
