Trouble Setting Up Hotspotsytems On A Virtual Wifi

    My main router is

    Router NameMain Router

    Router ModelLinksys E3000

    Firmware Version

    DD-WRT v24-sp2 (04/13/11) big – build 16785

    Works fine did try to setup HotSpotSystems as a virtual terminal but it would not work so I ourchased a D-link DIR-615 which is running just the hot spot fine.

    I then thought if I use the seconf d-link router to also extent my proviate network I could get inter in my workshop as I am picking up the HotSpotSytems

    So I brought a Second DIR-615 to play with as my hotSpot wifi is in use often by a few locals.

    Firmware Version

    DD-WRT v24-sp2 (11/21/10) std – build 15778

    As far as I am aware these are all running on the latest Firmware.

    So on the testing D-link I have it all setup so I can get my personal network to the workshop and thought I would setup a Virtual hotspot. Set the wan as part of the lans and its getting ip address from the main router all fine for the main wifi but no ip address for the virtual wifi

    oh yes and all the security is switched off

    Just a little extra information as this has got me thinking but I dont know how to resolve it.

    My Main router is 192.168.1.10

    My Hotspot is 192.168.1.5

    I have noticed when I am connected it gives me a valid IP address of 192.168.1.xxx but it says on my network info my gateway is 192.168.1.1

    I am interested in your config. I will be building a similar config. Would be nice for HOTSPOTSYSTEM staff gurus to chime in. When I complete my build ill post with my info.
