Access To Wds Nodes Gui Via The Primary Router?

  • I use wrt54g routers for my WDS Network using the HSS.

I can’t figure out how to access my WDS (#1-5) routers without a heck lot of trouble.

What I currently have to do is set the DMZ zone on the WDS to the primary router and the DMZ zone on the primary to the WDS.

To check the next and the next and the next WDS, a lot of manipulation and rebooting the network is required or moving to location to location and wirelessly/physically connecting to the specific unit.

I’m going to stop with more details at this point because it is simply a ridiculous way that I am doing it now and don’t want to add too many superfluous details .

Is there a way to or what is the procedure to gain access to WDS nodes GUI’s via the Primary Router or while connected to the first/primary router?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Thank you for your message. We would like to know the firmware type you have installed on the routers is it dd-wrt or hotspot wrt?

    Hey Dimitrios,

I have dd-wrt on all of my (wrt54g) routers.

    Thanks for responding! 😀

    Merry Christmas !

Thank you for your wishes. We have developed a tutorial where you can access routers remotely with dd-wrt: http://www.hotspotsystem.com/hotspot_help/kb/articles/70-how-can-i-access-the-router-remotely

We are not the developers of the dd-wrt firmware, other that the tutorial offered we strongly advise you to post a question on the support forum of dd-wrt. A developer of this firmware may answer you with additional suggestions and more specific instructions. The link is: http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/
