Buffalo Router Dont Get Connectet

Hi,

I am using a buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH2EU and i tryed to set up a hotspot.. It runds the DD-WRT v24 std Firmaware. I activatet in the Hotspot subtab the hotspotsystem and entert the operator and in special settings the splash page.

But now the problem in the controlcenter i got allways the status “Never Seen” and if i conect via WIFI to the router i dont get an ip adress and i cant even acces the router i have to restore the default settings to get acces to it.

And sorry for my bad english I am a german guy and I dont often use the english language.

I hope you can help me.

You need to upgrade the firmware for WZR-HP-G300NH2EU to the latest dd-wrt firmware. The hotspot system setup part comes defected out of the box.

thanks for this tip, now i can see the device and i can connect without an errer. I also get moved forwart to: https://customer.hotspotsystem.com/customer/hotspotlogin.php?…….

But i get the error “Server not Found”.

I tried setting the local DNS to 8.8.8.8 and i get an IP out of the 192.168.182.### net. If i change the WIFI network (over a different router) the website i get movet forward to works. So may you can tell me whats gone wrong?

If testet some settings, without firewall, with firewall and mulitcast blocking like it is written in the knowlagebase, without the blocking but every time the same no www conection.

And I noticed something else: if I type 192.168.182.1 in the adress bar, the adress changes to the hotspotlogin. But if i tyüe for e.g: http://google.de it just says server not found without changing the adress.

I hope you can helo me with this issue.

Where did you set 8.8.8.8? It should be set in Setup > Basic Setup > Local DNS.

What happens when you try this web address: http://195.228.254.149/customer/index.php ?

yes there i tried to set the dns to the google dns server. But it works before i activatet the hotspotsystem client with the google dns and with my normal dns.

And if it try to acces http://195.228.254.149/customer/index.php it says in german:

“Fehler: Verbindung unterbrochen

Die Verbindung zum Server wurde zurückgesetzt, während die Seite geladen wurde.”

i think in english it is s.th. like: “Error: Connection interrupted/ Disconnected

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.”

I have no idea where the problem is, when i deactivate the hotspot client it works as it should i can conect to websites and so on.

If you want to test it via an Remot admin program, i can give you my skype data so we can may find the solution faster.

if tried today a few different DSL modems, to avoid that one do not work with the hotspotsystem.

But at all 3 the same error as written above. I don´t know what else i can try

Are you sure you are using the latest firmware? What is the build number and date? Is this a Buffalo branded dd-wrt?

I am using the Firmware you linkt to me in the ticket, before i opend this thread:

File name “wzrhpg300nh2-pro-v24sp2-19154.enc”

And yes i think it is branded in the top left conner is written: “Buffalo powerd by DD-WRT”

Please try to add this rule to the firewall:

iptables -t nat -i eth1 -s 192.168.182.0/24 -j MASQUERADE

Also, could you please send a screenshot of Setup > WAN?

Whats the IP range of the parent router?

the firewall roule didnt help, same errors like before.

Parent router is using 192.168.178.1 – 240 (sub: 255.255.255.0)

buffalo gets the 192.168.178.21 permanently, with deactivated firewall for this host.

I think, if you dont know where the problem is or how to fix it, i will change my setup and make the log for the hotspot on a lokal mysql db with RFlow and MACudp. Becouse without the hotspotsystem client the internet works well.

In each way thanks for the help and if you may find a solution in the future you can send me a Mail or Post it here i will look it up now and then.

Just a quick observation. Did you reset the router configuration after the upgrade?
