Cloud Login And Architecture

  • For some ‘time I have an idea for the head …

Instead of installing at customer service hot-spot classic. How do you now have always over the years. That is, one or more access points, routers, authentication server and system management. With costs rather medium-high for each installation. And with the ability to maintain only local user names and passwords, having virtually hundreds of small hot spots, all with different credentials.

I would like to be able to centralize in the cloud, or at least on dedicated servers exposed on the Internet all the parties “operational” system of hot-spot, or Radius (or similar), captive portal, etc.. and then you can install the client only a simple, inexpensive router and redirect to the cloud system, which handles the login, via the Internet already present by the customer.

There are many commercial solutions of this type, but I’ve never found a open source and I would like to produce a prototype and then document it ….

With SW think that architecture can be developed?

EXAMPLE: dd-wrt aboard a router that does redirect towards a Zeroshell or an installation Untangle?

How would you handle the problem?

    Thank you.

We only provide a commercial solution to our hotspot operators. We offer a Cloud-based Hotspot Solution. We operate web, database and radius servers, you just have to operate the router. In case you interested in becoming a hotspot operator using our system, we can assist you with such type of questions.

    Helpdesk at HotspotSystem.com

What you have described is exactly what our system does as hotspotsystem.com is a cloud based system.

Open source system has disadvantages, for example the lack of support. A professional IT system integrator needs a reliable system or company which has professional support. That is what we offer and thats why many of them choose us instead of open source systems.
