dlink DIR-615 with DD-WRT build 22118 problems

  • I have the the router up as described in the guide but it refuses to show on the control center.

    Anyone any Ideas ?

Have updated to build 25179 and the situation is now that all the lights now go green and i can access the internet via the router but it is still not showing in the control panel and is not restricting access at all

    Hello,

Old routers should be used with old builds.
22118 has not proved to be critically buggy in a single case yet.
You should follow the DD-WRT guide to the letter (our home page>Get help>Installation guides)
The guides and articles there were put together based on dozens of hours/cases by IT veterans and work flawlessly in most cases if followed correctly.
If you don’t get a splash page after the wireless node has been set to Unbridged (NAT/masquerade enabled with default zeros all over), and the Services>Hotspot>Hotspot system>DHCP interface>new upcoming wireless node acknowledged by a reboot, then that build will not work.

    Regards,
    Steve

I understand what you are saying so I have reflashed my DIR-615 back to 22118 and followed the guide EXACTLY as it is written and now I have a router that appears on the hotspotsystem control center BUT is showing Green Power light, Orange Wan light and Green WiFi light.
And when I try to connect to WiFi or Ethernet it does not hand out an IP address…….

    Please help

I have 3 routers here that I could use so if you think any of the others would be a better choice then please tell me all I want to do is get this up and running.

    Buffalo AirStation WHR-G125
    TP-Link TL-WR841N ver EU/11.00
    D-Link DIR-615 ver D4

OK after several reflashes and start overs I can now get an IP Address and actually surf the net through the DIR-615 BUT I am not being redirected to a login page.

At long last I have it working. No idea what I have done differently this time but it is working.

Only problem I have left to solve is blocking adult sites.

Thanks for the LACK of support via here or email
