Ip Address Assignment

I have installed Ubiquity Nanostation M2 wireless router with firmware version XM v5.5 running Hotspot system special firmware load. The IP address of the router is 192.168.20.1.
DHCP is enabled with a range of 192.168.20.100 – 192.168.20.254. In the DHCP leases log I can see the devices and the assigned IP addresses which are within the assigned range. When I actually look at the assigned IP address on a connected computer, it is a totally different range. In the leases table, it is shown as 192.168.20.233 but when I query the laptop for the IP address, it reports an IP address of 192.168.182.2. It also shows a gateway address of 192.168.182.1.
I have a small computer connected operating as a web server and also with the Unifi controller. I can’t ping the 192.168.20.233 address but can ping the 192.168.182.2 address although it reports very long ping times, average of 107 ms with a max time of over 300.
I am trying to connect to the web server at 192.168.20.20 but can’t – hence the IP address investigation and questions.
What is up with this?

Are you sure, that your device has only one network node?
In a hotspot router (of ours) Coovachilli works as a DHCP server as well, it distributes IP addresses from the 192.168.182.0 subnet by default. But the same node can’t get an additional IP address from the router’s default LAN range, that can work simultaneously with the hotspot, but not on the same node(LAN or WLAN) of the router. The computer connected to the M2 via a LAN cable gets a 192.168.20.x address, and wireless clients connecting to the hotspot get a 192.168.182.x address, if these are set. (That’s the default setting anyways.)
You can disable or modify (to another IP range) DHCP services in the router independently from the hotspot too.Best Regards,

I have three additional wireless APs that are connected to the M2 via LAN cable and switch. All have a 192.168.20.xxx address. The computer is connected via a LAN cable to the same switch. It has a 192.168.20.20 address. Computers that connect via the wireless connection have a 192.168.182.xxx address as you note above (found the settings, btw). As mentioned above, the M2 DHCP leases table shows the same computers connected via wireless with a 192.168.20.xxx address (verified with the MAC address). Ping times are much faster when I ping the .20 address than when I ping the .182 address.
I don’t seem to be able to connect to the Apache web server (address 192.168.20.20) from any other device on the local (wireless) network. Have verified that the web server is operational – I can connect with localhost……
