I’m experiencing unstable logging in into the hotspotsystem. I have never experience this before when i was using dd-drt as hotspotsystem gateway on each site.
My question is how do i properly setup the network topology.
ADSL -> Edgerouter (192.168.2.1/24) -> mikrotik hap lite (WAN ether1 192.168.2.254, ether2 going to switch “working hotspotsystem port”) -> Tenda 5 port switch -> 4 pcs. linksys E1200 (Each linksys are distributed on each sites via lan cable from the switch on all 4 ports of the switch.
I’m confused on the linksys part is it correct i inserted it on the lan port of the linksys and act as the access point to the user’s? it does work but sometimes someone complaints the splash page doesn’t display it is intermittent.
Also additional question what should be the settings of the linksys E1200? i cannot also access the linksys management since i inserted the cable into the lan?
You can skip the Hap lite from the chain easily. (once Edgerouter runs the hotspot)
Once the Edgerouter is giving the splash page, all APs should be used in transparent bridge/AP mode.
Linksys E1200 can be used by a disabled DHCP server (even factory firmware or DDWRT 21061 for stability) and connected by its LAN ports (when by default bridged with its wifi) to the Edgerouter via switches.
