I have a wrt54g linksys router that I have setup with:
OpenWrt Firmware
Kamikaze (r14417)
Load: 0.68 0.24 0.09
Hostname: OpenWrt
All wifi users can use the network with unrestricted access. Some help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris
Here is a screenshot of what I am working with.
Let me know what I need to do.
Thanks,
Chris
Chris,
You can set up OpenWRT with the install guide: http://www.hotspotsystem.com/installation-guide-openwrt
You can also use our modified OpenWRT image and the installation requires less steps, see: http://www.hotspotsystem.com/openwrt-hotspot-setup
Hi there,
You need to use this firmware for the WRT54G up to V4:
http://www.hotspotsystem.com/firmware/openwrt/LINKSYS/openwrt-wrt54g-squashfs.bin
If it only accepts trx files then this one:

Steve
ok,
I can get in via ssh now, but the router will not give an IP address and will not connect to the internet so it cannot use the wget command to download everything necessary.
Any thoughts?
I can’t get on the internet and connect to the router. It’s either one or the other. Could you explain a work around?
Thanks,
Chris
I fixed it with installing the standard generic version of DD-Wrt.
having troubles setting up the dd-wrt.
can’t get the splash page to show up.
Ok,
Could you give me the correct firmware for the linksys wrt54g v1.1?
