Serveral Wifi Networks Using One Hotspot Router

    Hello community,

    I am planing to integrate Hotspotsystem into our wifi structure.

    We have one broadband account controlled by a router (192.168.0.1). Wifi on this router is not used. Three cables connect to switches which connect to 10 wifi routers. Each wifi router send its own network to the clients (192.168.x.x, DHCP).

    Is it possible to configure Hotspotssystem on 192.168.0.1 to control and bill the traffic coming form all wifi clients?

    Sure this is possible if the main router is supported router. What kind of router is that?

    Thank you for answering.

    There is an TP-Link TD-W8960NB dsl-modem router right at the dsl splitter. One cable connector will remain for internal/private use. We want to add a new Linksys WRT54GL-DE to it, connected by cable (Static IP to the WAN side, which is W8960NB, static IPs for the LAN side as well). That one will be used for the HotspotsSystem's firmware. Wifi will not be used there.

    Cables will connect the TP-Link TL-WR741N routers. They will use a static IP on the WAN side to connect the WRT54GL, DHCP for the WLAN. Wired LAN will not used there.

    Which settings within your firmware are imporant to consider for this setup?

    As all the 10 wifi routers will be connected to the Linksys, do you think it will handle all the hotspot traffic? You may consider using a more powerful router for that case…

    But you won't need any extra settings on the hotspot part.
