Ubiquiti Airrouter + Openwrt & Opendns Firewall

    Hi folks…
    finally I have bought an Ubiquiti AirRouter.
    with your support I’ve installed OpenWrt Barrier Breaker r39207 / LuCI Trunk (svn-r9948) Kernel Version 3.10.24

    and I want to know some things:

    how I can have the splash screen also via lan ? (now works only on the wifi connection)

    and sechond question:

    How I can use the opendns firewall? all connection take the wrong dns, but I’ve forced the opendns dns…

    can someone tell me the right way to set up openwrt?

    Interfaces – WI FI Settings:

    Protocol:DHCP Client

    DHCP and DNS settings:

    DNS forwardings: 208.67.222.222

    208.67.220.220

    and my punlic dns updated trough an updater

    I too am trying to get the splash page to show up on the LAN ports (particularly 3/4 of them) so I can run additional wireless access points. All tutorials seem to be for other firmware. I’m running the same firmware as the OP. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello,

    You need to edit Network>Interfaces>LAN>Edit>Physical settings>Bridge interface>check your LAN and wireless interface to make them a bridge.

    Also, you need to SSH into the router(192.168.1.1 by deafult) with putty.exe (http://the.earth.li/~sgtatham/putty/latest/x86/putty.exe).

    hi there

    im also trying to use the lan ports on my air max unit
    I have got the working on wifi but need the lan ports to wrk aswell

    i tried putty but it keeps coming up denied

    can anyone put the simple wording on this for me please urgently

    Hello,

    you need to follow this article:

    Offer hotspot service via the LAN ports (wired connection)

    Also, if you’ve set halfway already, you probably will access the router if internet is disconnected.
    Set your PC to 192.168.1.11 (eg.) fixed IP address for the time of modification.
