Hello,
I am looking to implement the Free Social hotspot solution. I was reading through the website and it suggests that you can even operate via a PC rather than a router. Could somebody point me in the direction of a setup guide or similar for a PC based setup.
Thanks,

Hi,
Mikrotik RouterOS can be installed onto a PC. Or you can set up Ubuntu and install coovachilli there.
Ah I didn’t know that, great, thank you. Do you know if any particular distribution of Ubuntu works best?
Thank you for your reply. You can find the relevant information here: http://www.hotspotsystem.com/hotspot_help/kb/articles/36-can-i-use-the-system-on-a-unix-like-computer-operating-system-linux-freebsd-etc Unfortunately, other than the knowledge base article offered we don’t provide support regarding the installation of such solutions.
