    You mean that right now the user can input any email address and s/he will be logged in? There is no 2-step process or confirmation email?

    I was not aware of this limitation of Hotspot system. Together with the lack of a Google login, this is potential game stopper for me 🙁

    Was this change request ever implemented? Does the system now generate a challenge / validation email to the user when they sign up to the Wi-Fi service?

    Agree this needs some thought. Right now anyone can log in with fake email address and personal details – useless for marketing or security purposes. But how do you validate while keeping user behind a captive portal?
