Wrt54Gl Wit Hotspotwrt Not All Devices Get A Splashscreen

    Dear all,

    I have today setup a Linksys WRT54GL router with HotspotWRT with the following manual: http://www.hotspotsystem.com/en/hotspot/install_guide_hotspotwrt.html

    This was a success. I changed SSID and DNS settings and some other small options on the internal page of router itself.

    But now my problem.

    All users can connect to the HotSpot and are getting a ip in de 192.168.182.x range.

    But not all users are getting a splash screen. Some users will.

    In the attachments some status information of a laptop which doesn't get a splash screen.

    coova_network_status.jpg shows information of the status page of the router

    google_chrom_error shows what happens instead of reaching the splashscreen

    ping_trace_hotspotsystem shows a ping and a lookup on hotspotsystem and it's ip adress

    The wifi connection of the above pictures is as follows, with a correct ip

    Hello,

    Are all users connecting via Wireless or are there some users connecting via cable?

    Was this router in production before installing hotspotWRT? Sometimes there can be residual configuration which can throw the operation of the hotspot off. I suggest you try a factory reset, enter DNS server on the router, let it stabilize, and try again.

    Hello Marko,

    All users are connecting via Wireless.

    The router was in use before installing hotspotWRT. I will give your sugestion a try!
