I have a airrouter with openWRT. I would like to add my own AP’s behind the airrouter that would have the same controls as the WiFi interface on the airrouter.
If I login to the airrouter via WiFi I get the hotspot login sceen but if I connect thru an AP connected to the lan ports on the airrouter I get full internet access.
How do I set the lan ports to be forced to go thru the hotspot portal for internet access?
under hopspot system in your router change settings
Separate Wifi from LAN Bridge to Disable
it will work
Here is the knowledgebase article: http://help.hotspotsystem.com/knowledgebase/offer-hotspot-service-via-the-lan-ports-wired-connection
Roland – this article does not include directions for my airrouter hotspot in a box firmware. Do you have instructions for that ?
When I’m trying to access the “defaults” file located in /etc/chilli , i get permission denied. How do I fix that? I’m using ubiquity AirRouter with OpenWRT.
