Winbox should bring up the device’s mac address that you can connect to. Do you see the mac address?
If you do, click it and winbox should log you in (provided that you’ve filled out the proper username/password)
The input from the data capture is not verified to external email domains. You can blacklist the individual’s device (based on its mac address). Devices which have been blacklisted would see an ACCESS IS BLOCKED message on the landing page.
Its not possible to send a message via the system to let users know the reason for being blocked.
Clicking the suspend/remove link will only affect users during next login. However using the free basic solution they will be able to log back in, because there is no option to block access. (subscribe to Basic+ for this)
Its not possible to to end a user’s session at a certain time.
First, you are using a very old DDWrt build. I suggest you upgrade to build 22118, which is a known stable build. Make sure you reset the settings during upgrade.
You should also use a shorter SSID, it may be a bug, but it can stop the hotspot from working.
Last, you should turn off the DHCP service. Otherwise your settings seem good.
One way you can check if the hotspot is running is by telnetting in and issuing the “top”command. If you see a process called chilli run that’s a good sign. The router must have internet connection for this to run.
Please check your network. The router needs to have an internet connection when you run the script! What is the router connected to? Can it ping that device? Does it show up on the DHCP leases of that device?
