Offer limited free access (free trial) in a PRO location

1. FREE TRIAL FOR EVERYONE WHO ACCEPT THE TERMS

You can enable the FREE TRIAL module in the Control Center > Manage > Locations > Click on name > Modify Hotspot Data > FREE TRIAL MODULE.

You can also change the order of modules in the MODULE ORDER section (where you want to display the module on the splash page).

There you can set a limitation for the free trial package so it can disappear based on your settings. If you don’t set a limitation, users can use the FREE TRIAL as long as they want (this is useful if you want to offer unlimited free access with a low bandwidth).
Also, you can modify the free package after you enabled the trial in Manage > Locations > click on name > Modify Free Package.
You can also capture data from free users, like name, e-mail or any custom data:

Please also be sure that the “Display Login Box on Main Splash Page” option is set in your router.
The number of free sessions are limited to 500 free trial sessions (logins) / month / location. If that’s not enough you can buy more sessions.

2. FREE ACCESS VIA SMS

If you need to ‘register’ your users, or want to collect phone numbers from free users you can use Hotspot PRO + Hotspot FREE SMS solution. In this case you need to buy SMS credits additionally for the PRO location  or activate a subscription.

The settings can be found in Manage > Locations > Click on name > Modify Hotspot Data > VOUCHERS / ACCESS CODES.

This way a free code can be requested to a phone number. You can limit the number of free codes which can be requested to the same number and you can also restrict the country where the codes can be requested (allow only local users).

3. FREE ACCESS VIA VOUCHERS

The 3rd option can be used when you want to give out limited free accesses for some people. This can be done with a combination of Hotspot PRO + Hotspot FREE VOUCHERS. In this case you need to buy Voucher credits additionally for the PRO location or activate a subscription.
